The Still Echo iOS app itself builds on: GRDB.swift (MIT) — database; SQLite (Public Domain) — storage engine; llama.cpp (MIT) — local inference engine; Qwen3-VL (Apache License 2.0) — multimodal model; sherpa-onnx (Apache License 2.0) with the Kokoro voice model (Apache License 2.0) — offline text-to-speech; espeak-ng (GNU GPL v3) — pronunciation data read by the speech engine at runtime, unmodified; jieba (MIT) — Chinese word-segmentation dictionary.

The full text of every license is embedded inside the app rather than linked externally, because the app is fully offline. This includes the notice required by Apache License 2.0, Section 4(b): the bundled mmproj-Q8_0.gguf is a requantized derivative of mmproj-F16.gguf.

Scripture Sources

Scripture text comes from public-domain sources: the King James Version (KJV) and the Chinese Union Version / 和合本 (CUV, 1919). Modern copyrighted translations (e.g. NCV) are intentionally not used.

Audio & Music

Offline narration uses the Kokoro neural voice model (Apache License 2.0), served by the sherpa-onnx inference engine (Apache License 2.0). Voices are synthesized entirely on your device.

The four calm ambient background tracks — Graceful Dawn, Gentle Rain, Deep Sanctuary, and Still Waters — are used under the Pixabay Content License (free for commercial use, no attribution required). They are not Creative Commons CC0.

Artwork

The VIP devotional-card background artwork (stained glass and baroque designs) was generated with an AI image service whose terms grant the generating party commercial rights to its output.
